A basic set you can use right away: a lamp with switch, 3m cable and adapter. This will do for almost all practise situations at home. If you want to be able to adjust the brightness, then choose:

'lamp with dimmer, + 3m cable and adapter' or ' lamp with dimmer and switch, + 3m cable and adapter'

A dimmer is good to have in the following situations:

- when you are close to the music (e.g. with keyboard instruments)

- when the surroundings are really dark (candle light concert!)

Then the superb light of the Primavista can be a bit too much occasionally!
