A basic set you can use right away: a lamp with dimmer and switch, 3m cable and adapter. This will do for almost all practise situations at home. If you don't need the dimmer, then choose:  'lamp with switch, + 3m cable and adapter' 

Attention: this lamp can not be used in a chain of interconnected lamps, although it can serve as the end of a chain. The advantage of the added switch is that the light stays at the same brightness level after switching off and on again. 

A dimmer is good to have in the following situations:

- when you are close to the music (e.g. with keyboard instruments)

- when the surroundings are really dark (candle light concert!)

Then the superb light of the Primavista can be a bit too much occasionally!
